By the Couponovo Editorial Team. Updated November 1, 2026. For this review, we read ColonBroom's product pages, help center, and refund policy, the posted results of its registered Premium study on ClinicalTrials.gov, the Amazon listing, Trustpilot, Reddit threads, and reviews from Forbes Health and Noom. We didn't get free products from the brand. This article is general information, not medical advice.
Colon Broom review: the short answer
ColonBroom started as one product: a flavored psyllium husk fiber drink. Today the brand sells more than 20 supplements, but three of them drive most of the searches, and most of the ColonBroom reviews you'll find online:
ColonBroom (Original): a psyllium fiber powder for regularity and bloating.
ColonBroom Premium: the same psyllium base plus L-carnitine, Capsimax, chromium, vitamins B6 and B12, and iron, sold for weight management.
ColonBroom GLP-1 Booster: a capsule, not a powder. It contains no GLP-1 drug, and the formula sold on Amazon isn't the same as the one listed on ColonBroom's own site.
Our verdict: the Original formula is a pleasant-tasting psyllium drink, and psyllium has decent research behind it for regularity. You pay a lot more for the branding than you would for a store-brand psyllium powder, though. Premium's weight-loss evidence is thin: one company-funded study with no control group found an average drop of about 5 pounds in 12 weeks. The GLP-1 Booster has no study of its own at all. The biggest complaints are about subscriptions and cancellation charges, not about the powder. If you buy, pick a one-time purchase unless you've read the subscription terms, and check the latest ColonBroom coupon codes first.
ColonBroom at a glance
Prices were checked on colonbroom.com on November 1, 2026, while a "Halloween sale" banner was still showing. They change often.
What is ColonBroom, and who makes it?
ColonBroom is made by Gut Health UAB, a company based in Vilnius, Lithuania. Forbes Health reports that US orders are distributed by Karma Processing Inc. of Lewes, Delaware, while the brand's Trustpilot profile lists a San Francisco address. The products are labeled "Made in USA."
The brand sells mainly through its own website, often after a short quiz that asks about your digestion, weight, and goals. You don't have to take the quiz to buy. The GLP-1 Booster is also sold on Amazon and at GNC.
One thing to know before you read other reviews: much of the "news" about ColonBroom is paid content. The USA TODAY page about the GLP-1 Booster launch, for example, is a press release marked as a paid placement that USA TODAY's newsroom didn't write. The "featured in Forbes Health" logo on ColonBroom's site points to a review whose own verdict was that cheaper psyllium works just as well.
ColonBroom Original review
If you searched for a Colon Broom review, this is the product most older reviews cover. It's a strawberry- or tropical-flavored psyllium husk powder. The current product page lists psyllium husk powder, citric acid, crystallized lemon, stevia leaf extract, and natural flavors, with 3.6 g of psyllium per scoop. It's sugar-free, gluten-free, and non-GMO, according to the brand.

How it works
Psyllium is a soluble fiber from the seeds of the Plantago ovata plant. It soaks up water in your gut and forms a gel, which makes stool softer and bulkier and easier to pass. That's the same thing Metamucil and generic psyllium do. Forbes Health's reviewer took it for three weeks and reported moderate bloating and mild cramping for the first three or four days, then easier, more frequent bowel movements and less urge to snack at night. She didn't lose much weight.
Servings: the numbers don't match
The sales page tells you to take two scoops a day and shows 30 servings per bottle. An older label image showed 60 servings per container, and Forbes listed a "60-serving bottle" too. We can't tell from the site whether one bottle lasts 15 days or a month, so check the label on the tub you receive before you compare prices.
Original: pros and cons
Pros
Psyllium has solid research for constipation and regularity
Reviewers say it tastes good and mixes without the gritty texture of plain psyllium
Short ingredient list
Cons
Costs far more than generic psyllium with the same active ingredient
Serving information on the site is inconsistent
Gas and bloating are common in the first week
ColonBroom Premium review
Premium keeps the 3.6 g psyllium base and adds ingredients aimed at weight management. The Supplement Facts label shows a scoop of about 6.47 g with:
Psyllium seed husk powder: 3.6 g
L-carnitine tartrate: 1 g
Capsimax cayenne fruit extract: 50 mg
Vitamin B6: 50 mg
Vitamin B12: 20 mcg
Chromium: 200 mcg
Iron: 1 mg

ColonBroom calls Premium "clinically proven" and says it supports weight loss, metabolism, cravings, energy and digestion. Some of those individual ingredients have been studied. A meta-analysis of 37 trials found L-carnitine produced small reductions in body weight, and a review of capsaicin studies found people ate around 74 fewer calories per meal. But those results come from different doses and different products. They don't tell you what this particular blend does.
What the Premium study actually found
The "clinically proven" label rests on one study, registered as NCT06023082 on ClinicalTrials.gov and paid for by Gut Health UAB. The design matters:
120 adults started, and 98 finished the 12 weeks.
Everyone took Premium. There was no placebo group to compare against.
Participants weighed and measured themselves at home.
The posted results show the group's average weight went from 194.8 lb to 189.9 lb, a drop of about 5 lb (roughly 2.5%). Average waist size went from 38.4 to 37.1 inches. Because there was no control group, we can't tell how much of that came from the supplement and how much came from people simply paying more attention to their eating while in a study.
The headline numbers on ColonBroom's homepage (83% lost weight, 82% had fewer cravings, 90% had less bloating) come from a different source. The site's own footnote says they're from "a self-reported survey conducted over 10 weeks with ColonBroom Premium," and adds that no clinical trials have been run on other ColonBroom products.
ColonBroom vs ColonBroom Premium: which should you buy?
If your main goal is regularity, buy the Original. It does the fiber job, and Premium has the same 3.6 g of psyllium per scoop. Premium only makes sense if you specifically want L-carnitine, Capsimax and chromium in the same drink and you accept that the extra benefit hasn't been proven.
One-time prices were recorded on October 30, 2026. On subscription, the 3- and 6-bottle prices are the same for both ($26.99 and $19.99 per bottle). Premium's one-bottle subscription card showed $110.97 on November 1, which looks like a total rather than a per-bottle price, so confirm the cart total before you pay.
ColonBroom GLP-1 Booster review
Search interest in ColonBroom GLP-1 reviews and "does ColonBroom GLP-1 work" has jumped this year, according to Google Trends. Here's what we found, and it's messier than most reviews admit.
There are two different formulas with the same name
On colonbroom.com, the GLP-1 Booster page lists berberine, zinc, Polygonum cuspidatum extract (a source of resveratrol), and quercetin dihydrate. Directions: one pill 30 minutes before eating.
On Amazon, the "ColonBroom GLP1" listing shows a different label: chromium picolinate 250 mcg, L-glutamine 200 mg, hibiscus 200 mg, bupleurum root 200 mg, lemon verbena 200 mg, berberine HCl 140 mg, 5-HTP 100 mg, licorice root 60 mg, citrus bioflavonoids 20 mg and saffron 14 mg. Directions: two capsules once a day with a meal.

The September 2026 press release describes a third version with five ingredients. So when a review, a friend, or a TikTok video talks about "the ColonBroom GLP-1," you don't know which pill they took. Read the label on the bottle you're buying. It matters most if you take medication, because 5-HTP affects serotonin and berberine can interact with several drugs.
We also saw at least one review site describe the GLP-1 Booster as a psyllium powder with L-carnitine and Capsimax. That's Premium. The GLP-1 Booster is a capsule.
Is it like Ozempic?
No. Ozempic, Wegovy, and Zepbound are prescription drugs that act directly on GLP-1 receptors and were tested in large controlled trials. The ColonBroom GLP-1 Booster contains no GLP-1 drug. The brand's own press release says the "GLP-1" name refers to ingredients studied for appetite pathways, and that the finished formula hasn't been tested in clinical trials.
Noom's review, checked by a family physician, looked at the website formula's ingredients one by one. A 2025 meta-analysis found berberine users weighed about 0.9 kg (2 lb) less than control groups on average. A pooled analysis of nine quercetin trials found no effect on weight. The zinc and resveratrol studies were small. The US National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health says there aren't enough rigorous trials to know whether berberine works for weight loss.
What buyers say about the GLP-1 Booster
Ratings outside ColonBroom's own site are much lower than the 5 stars it shows on its product cards. The Amazon listing had 3.4 out of 5 from 84 ratings, and GNC showed 3.1 out of 5 from 27 reviews. One GNC reviewer wrote that it suppressed their appetite, but they felt they'd gained a little weight. In a Reddit thread on r/diet, one user called it the worst supplement they'd used in 30 years and said it had zero effect on their appetite. A recent 2-star Trustpilot review put it bluntly: "This GLP1 is not Ozempic or Wegovy."
Does Colon Broom really work?
It depends on what you want it to do.
For regularity and constipation: probably yes, because psyllium works. A review in Nutrition Today by fiber researcher Johnson McRorie describes psyllium as one of the few fiber supplements with clinical evidence for both constipation and stool softening. Any psyllium product should do this, though, not only ColonBroom.
For bloating: mixed. Many buyers report less bloating, but fiber can also cause bloating and gas at first.
For weight loss: not proven. A 2020 meta-analysis of viscous fiber trials found modest weight loss of under 1 kg on average, even without a calorie-restricted diet. ColonBroom's own Premium study showed about 5 lb in 12 weeks with no comparison group.
The dietitians Forbes interviewed said the same thing in different ways. Heather Finley, PhD, RD, said psyllium can help regulate bowel movements but isn't exclusive to ColonBroom. Jenna Volpe, RDN, said you can get the same benefits from generic psyllium for less money.
Colon Broom before and after: what results look like
Search for Colon Broom before and after photos, and you'll mostly land on ColonBroom's own pages. Its reviews page features a customer named Ivan who says he lost over 110 lb in a year, and product pages show buyers who dropped 7 to 12 lb in a month or two. The company chose those stories to show you. They aren't typical, and the site says individual results vary.
The only measured results we found come from ColonBroom's own Premium study. After 12 weeks, the 98 people who finished went from an average of 194.8 lb to 189.9 lb, and their waists went from 38.4 to 37.1 inches. That's the closest thing to an honest "before and after" for Premium, and it had no comparison group.
For the Original formula, a realistic before and after is about the bathroom, not the scale. Buyers who like it usually describe more regular bowel movements within the first week or two, and some say bloating eased after an uncomfortable first few days. If someone tells you a fiber drink alone took off 30 lb, ask what else changed in their diet.
Colon Broom reviews from real customers
Customer opinion is split, and the split is mostly about billing, not about the powder.
Trustpilot
ColonBroom has a 4.0 out of 5 TrustScore from 3,943 reviews, with 1,951 posted in the last 12 months. Trustpilot notes that the company hasn't invited customers to review recently and that it pays for a Trustpilot subscription. The rating covers the store as a whole, not one product.
Positive reviews mention easy ordering, good taste, quick mixing and less bloating within the first week or two. One October reviewer said they "saw the tiktok ads literally everywhere and finally caved," found it helped their bloating, and called the regular price "kinda steep."
Negative reviews are mostly about subscriptions. Several October 2026 reviewers said they were charged around $54 to $55 to stop a six-month plan, which ColonBroom calls a "price adjustment." Others said they hadn't realized they'd signed up for a subscription, or that unopened bottles couldn't be returned after 14 days.
ColonBroom replies to almost every negative review. Its replies say subscriptions are only created when you choose that option at checkout, and that the adjustment isn't a fee but the difference between the subscription price and the one-time price.
Reddit is less kind. A detailed review on r/NoFriendsFriendsClub rated Premium about 2.5 out of 5: "not a bad product, but not revolutionary either," mostly because of the price. In a thread on r/diabetes_t1, one user said it's "pure fiber" that helped them go to the bathroom but never affected their appetite or weight.
ColonBroom's own reviews page
The brand's reviews page claims more than 500,000 customers and shows dramatic stories, including one customer who says they lost over 110 lb in a year. These are reviews the company picked to show you. They aren't typical results, and the site itself says individual results vary.
How to use ColonBroom
Original and Premium: The product pages say two scoops a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. Mix each scoop into 12 to 14 oz of water, drink it right away before it thickens, then drink another glass of water.
Start slow: Forbes Health's reviewer followed the label's advice to take one scoop a day for the first week before moving to two. ColonBroom's own study used the same step-up.
Timing: take it at least two hours before or after any medication or other supplement.
GLP-1 Booster: follow the label on your bottle. The website version says one pill 30 minutes before eating, and the Amazon version says two capsules once a day with a meal.
ColonBroom side effects and safety
Most side effects come from the fiber and tend to show up in the first week:
Gas, bloating, and stomach cramps
Constipation or loose stools, especially if you don't drink enough water
Choking or blockage risk if the powder swells before it reaches your stomach. Mix each scoop in 12 to 14 oz of water and drink another glass after.
Reduced absorption of medicines. ColonBroom advises taking it at least two hours apart from medication.
For the GLP-1 Booster, the risks depend on which formula you have. Berberine can cause digestive upset and interact with medicines, and NCCIH says it shouldn't be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The 5-HTP in the Amazon version affects serotonin, and the brand itself tells people on serotonin-affecting medication, such as many antidepressants, to talk to a doctor first.
Talk to your doctor before you start any ColonBroom product if you're pregnant or nursing, take prescription medication (especially for diabetes, blood pressure or depression), have trouble swallowing, or have IBS, Crohn's disease, diverticulitis or any bowel condition. These products are dietary supplements. The FDA hasn't evaluated their claims, and they aren't meant to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
ColonBroom price: what you'll actually pay
ColonBroom lists a "regular" price of $84.99 to $85.99 per bottle and then shows discounts of up to 77% off it. In practice, almost nobody pays the regular price. These are the per-bottle subscription prices we saw on November 1, 2026:
The cheapest price per bottle needs a six-bottle subscription, which means paying for six bottles up front. On Amazon, a two-bottle pack of the GLP-1 capsules was listed at $99.99. Shipping to the US is free on the official site.
ColonBroom coupon codes, discount codes and promo codes
Since the listed prices are already "discounted," the real savings come from stacking a ColonBroom coupon code or ColonBroom discount code on top. Here's what was available when we checked:
Sitewide sales: the Halloween sale advertised up to 77% off and was still live on November 1. Watch for a ColonBroom Black Friday sale and Cyber Monday deals later this month. We add them to our coupon page when they go live.
Email sign-up: ColonBroom offers an extra 15% off your first order when you subscribe to its emails.
Free gifts: orders include a diet guide and workout plan, plus a "secret gift."
Promo codes: working ColonBroom promo codes change often. Check whether a code applies to one-time orders, subscriptions, or both, because a subscription discount comes with cancellation terms.
We keep every working ColonBroom coupon, Colon Broom discount code and ColonBroom promo code on one page, updated as new offers appear: see today's ColonBroom coupons and discount codes on Couponovo.

Subscriptions, cancellation and refunds
This is the part to read before you click "Add to cart."
How the subscription works
You can choose a one-time purchase or a 1-, 3-, or 6-month subscription that renews automatically. According to ColonBroom's help center, if you cancel before the first recurring charge, you pay the difference between the subscription price and the one-time price. Once the first renewal has gone through, you can cancel without paying that difference.
Here's what that looks like. If you buy six bottles on subscription and cancel before the next six-bottle shipment, ColonBroom charges you the gap between what you paid and the one-time six-bottle price. That's where the roughly $55 charges in Trustpilot reviews come from. To avoid it, you have to keep the plan through one renewal, which means buying a second batch.
Refund policy
ColonBroom's refund policy is strict:
Contact [email protected] within 14 days of delivery.
The policy is written around products that are faulty or not as described, and asks for detailed information with visual proof.
Returned products must be unopened and in their original packaging.
In the US and Canada, you get a prepaid label and $15 is taken off your refund.
For subscriptions, refunds cover only the first order, not later shipments.
Refunds are issued within 14 days of the return arriving, and can take another 10 to 30 working days to reach your bank.
So there's no "try it and get your money back if you don't like it" guarantee for opened products. Some review sites mention a 30-day money-back guarantee. We couldn't find that on ColonBroom's own policy page, though Amazon's standard 30-day returns apply to Amazon orders.
Tips to avoid billing problems
Choose "One-time purchase" if you only want to try it.
Take a screenshot of your plan, price, and renewal date at checkout.
Set a calendar reminder a week before the renewal date.
Cancel by email and keep the confirmation.
Shipping and support
ColonBroom ships free to the US and quotes 3 to 8 business days. Its Trustpilot profile says 98% of orders received by 2 PM EST ship the same day. It accepts PayPal and major cards, but not payment on delivery. Support is by email at [email protected].
ColonBroom vs Metamucil and generic psyllium
This is the comparison most reviews skip. ColonBroom Original, Metamucil, and store-brand psyllium all rely on the same fiber. Food and Health Communications, a nutrition education publisher, put it simply: there's "nothing magical" about it, and generic psyllium costs a fraction of the price.

Pick ColonBroom if taste and texture are the reason you've never stuck with fiber, and you'll actually drink it every day.
Pick Metamucil or generic psyllium if you just want the fiber and the lowest cost. Compare grams of psyllium per serving, not scoops.
Pick food first if you can. The Dietary Guidelines for Americans suggest about 25 g of fiber a day for women and 38 g for men. Beans, lentils, oats, raspberries, and whole grains get you there without a subscription.
Is Colon Broom legit or a scam?
Search "Colon Broom scam," and you'll find angry Reddit posts and Trustpilot reviews. Almost all of them are about unexpected subscription charges and refunds, not about fake products. ColonBroom is a real company that ships real products, so it isn't a scam in the sense of taking money and sending nothing. But "legit" and "worth it" are different questions. The weight-loss marketing goes further than the evidence, the GLP-1 naming invites confusion with prescription drugs, and the subscription terms catch a lot of buyers off guard. Buy with your eyes open.
Who should buy ColonBroom?
Buy the Original if you want a fiber drink that tastes better than plain psyllium and you're OK paying extra for that.
Consider Premium only if you want its added ingredients and understand the weight-loss benefit is unproven.
Be careful with the GLP-1 Booster. Read the label, check it against any medication you take with your doctor or pharmacist, and don't expect drug-like results.
Skip ColonBroom if you're on a tight budget, need a supplement with strong clinical evidence for weight loss, or don't want to manage a subscription.
Frequently asked questions
Are Colon Broom reviews good or bad?
Both. ColonBroom has 4.0 out of 5 on Trustpilot from about 3,900 reviews. Positive reviews mention taste and less bloating. Negative reviews focus on subscription charges, cancellation, and the 14-day return limit. The GLP-1 Booster rates lower on Amazon (3.4 out of 5) and GNC (3.1 out of 5).
Does Colon Broom work for weight loss?
It hasn't been proven. ColonBroom's only registered study, on Premium, had no control group and found an average loss of about 5 lb over 12 weeks. Fiber can make you feel fuller, but research shows only modest weight changes from fiber alone.
What's the difference between ColonBroom and ColonBroom Premium?
Both contain 3.6 g of psyllium per scoop. Premium adds L-carnitine, Capsimax, chromium, vitamins B6 and B12, and iron, and is marketed for weight management. It costs about $5 more per bottle on one-time orders.
Is ColonBroom GLP-1 the same as Ozempic?
No. It's a dietary supplement with no GLP-1 drug in it. Ozempic and Wegovy are prescription medicines. ColonBroom says its GLP-1 Booster formula hasn't been tested as a finished product in clinical trials.
What are the ingredients in ColonBroom GLP-1 Booster?
It depends on where you buy it. ColonBroom's website lists berberine, zinc, Polygonum cuspidatum extract, and quercetin. The Amazon label lists chromium, L-glutamine, hibiscus, bupleurum, lemon verbena, berberine, 5-HTP, licorice root, citrus bioflavonoids, and saffron. Check the bottle you receive.
Can I cancel my ColonBroom subscription anytime?
You can cancel, but if you cancel before the first recurring charge, ColonBroom charges the difference between the subscription price and the one-time price. After the first renewal is processed, you can cancel without that charge.
What is ColonBroom's refund policy?
Contact support within 14 days of delivery. Products must be unopened and in original packaging; US and Canadian returns have $15 deducted for the label, and subscription refunds cover only the first order.
What are the side effects of ColonBroom?
The most common ColonBroom side effects are gas, bloating, and stomach cramps in the first week, plus constipation or loose stools if you don't drink enough water. Psyllium can also make some medicines absorb less well, so take it two hours apart from medication. The GLP-1 Booster has different risks because it contains berberine and, in the Amazon version, 5-HTP.
Is Colon Broom a scam?
No. It's a real company that ships real products. Most "scam" complaints are about subscription renewals, a price adjustment of around $55 for cancelling some plans early, and the strict 14-day, unopened-only return policy. Choose a one-time purchase if you want to avoid that.
Is there a ColonBroom coupon code that works?
ColonBroom offers 15% off a first order for email sign-ups and runs frequent sitewide sales. Promo codes change often, so check our ColonBroom coupon page for codes that are working now.
How long does ColonBroom take to work?
ColonBroom told Forbes Health you can expect a bowel movement within 24 to 72 hours of your first dose, and that best results take two to three months. Bloating can get worse for the first few days while your gut adjusts to the fiber.
The bottom line
ColonBroom Original is a good-tasting way to take psyllium, and psyllium works for regularity. That's the honest case for it. Premium and the GLP-1 Booster are sold on weight-loss claims that their evidence doesn't back up yet, and the GLP-1 Booster's changing formula is a real reason to slow down and read the label.
If you decide to try it, start with a one-time order, drink plenty of water, and talk to your doctor first if you take any medication or have a digestive condition. And don't pay the listed price before checking our ColonBroom coupon and promo code page.
